İş Etiği Penceresinden Sessiz İstifa

Abstract

Haftada dört gün çalışma fikri, büyük istifa ve sessiz istifa akımları yayılırken iş dünyası çalışanlar tarafından tekrar tasarlanmaktadır. Çalışanın işine bağlılığının ortadan kalktığı, sadece iş tanımının gerekliliklerini karşılayacak kadar işini yapmasını ve işin kişinin bireysel yaşamının merkezi olması gerektiğinin reddini ifade eden güncel bir terim olan sessiz istifa, geçmiş yıllarda yaratılan koşuşturma kültürünün uzun dönemli sonuçlarından kabul edilmekte ve yakın gelecekte de ağırlığını arttıracak gibi görünmektedir. Bu makale, sessiz istifayı iş etiği perspektifinde sistematik olarak incelemektedir. Makale, sessiz istifanın örgütsel etkileri nedeniyle etik olarak değerlendirilemeyeceği, bununla birlikte, kaynağının da işletmelerin çalışanlarına karşı etik dışı davranışları olduğunun göz önüne alınması gerektiğini vurgulamaktadır. Sessiz istifa bu bakımdan bir etik ihlaller döngüsünü yansıtmaktadır. Şirketlerin çalışanlarıyla yeniden bağ kurmaları ve çalışanlarına karşı sorumluluklarını özenle yerine getirmeleri örgütlerdeki sessiz istifa potansiyelini azaltacaktır.
